Cowalfest Walking and Arts Festival 2012

Cowalfest Walking and Arts Festival is celebrating it's 10th year anniversary this week and there's no surprise why it's been going strong for a decade. The festival takes place starting 5th October and goes all the way through to Sunday the 14th. The main draw of the festival is it's plethora of walks, catering for all manner of outdoor enthusiasts, from hardened walkers to family groups, there's a route for every age.




If your on the lookout for something a little less strenuous but still want to get the most out of the festival, never fear, there's still plenty on offer. You can visit one of Cowal's many historical inns, take in a pint of local ale or have a wander around the artist's galleries and studio's. To top it off you can take in the breathtaking surroundings with miles of scenic coastline at your disposal.

There really is something on offer for the entire family, the festival concludes with opportunities for drama workshops for children, horse riding, orienteering, exhibitions, art, theatres and concerts all set within the dramatic and historical landscapes of Loch Lomand and the Trossachs National Forest Park.
