"The best sack here will come down to personal preference, as all the models are excellent. However the Berghaus Bioflex 45 offers a unique feature, which for us nudges it ahead of the others when used for general mountain walking and camping, a bit of scrambling and easier mountaineering - and that feature is the Bioflex back system. It allows the hipbelt to rotate about a pivot point in the lumbar region, and this in turn allows the hips to move more freely than other sacks making it stable while increasing freedom of movement. The sack is heavy - but if the lab results are to be trusted you will use less energy to carry this pack. If low weight is a priority or you want a more dedicated mountaineering sack there are better options; otherwise, this is a winner."

It's worth noting as well that the Osprey Talon 44 came out as the best value pack, which is no surprise at all, they've been flying out the door!
