New for Autumn/Winter 2012: Sorel Footwear!

We're very excited to be welcoming Sorel Footwear into our AW12 range! We've got some corking boots coming in, hopefully around mid October, so keep your eyes peeled!

Founded in 1962 in Canada, Sorel brings functionality and it's heritage of expert craftsmanship to the modern world of fashion, where it's inspiring a new generation of doers, builders, and creators. Sorel combines felt, wool, premium leather, and flawless construction with people who aren’t afraid to get their boots dirty. We have an assortment of chic Men's, Women's and Kid's Winter boots making their way to Outdoorkit Towers, so we thought we'd preview a couple of their key pieces to wet your appetites...

One of the standout pieces in Sorel's AW12 range, say hello to the Women's Joan of Arctic Boot. With protection that allows you to go down to -25C, it's definitely what you'd class as a Winter warmer. It's seam sealed waterproof construction ensures an unrivaled shield against rain and snow alike, while the full grain and suede leather upper equips it with stylish aesthetics. Inside there's a removable 9mm recycled felt inner boot, allowing for easy washing as well as being able to wear it when the weather isn't just outrageously cold.

Taffy

The Joan of Arctic also features a Faux Fur Snow Cuff, helping to trap warmth and eliminate any prospective cold spots. At the front of the boot there's a 2.5mm bonded felt frost plug to keep your toes warm and toasty. The boot has been handcrafted with a waterproof vulcanized shell and herringbone outsole.

The Sorel Women's Joan of Arctic Boot costs £139.99 and weighs in at an impressively lightweight 897g. We have it coming in two colours; Taffy and Winter White.

Winter White

Moving on to one of Sorel's much loved main stays, The Sorel Men's Caribou Boot. The Caribou is the timeless choice for cold-weather work and recreation. The nubuck leather upper and handcrafted vulcanized rubber shell are seam-sealed for complete waterproofness and lined with a removable 9mm ThermoPlus felt InnerBoot that traps heat next to your foot.

Buff

Underfoot, a thick rubber midsole insulates the boot from cold ground, while the Sorel AeroTrac non-loading outsole provides sure footing.

The Sorel Men's Caribou Boot costs £134.99 and weighs in at 964g. It's arriving in to us in the colour 'Buff'.
