Rock Climbing Shoes and Avoiding Delamination

Over the last week we've welcomed in Red Chili Rock Climbing Shoes and Boreal Rock Climbing Shoes, with Scarpa's range expected in over the next month or so too. So we now have a rather nice selection to choose from!

However once purchased, it's always important to know how to look after them, so you can wear them with confidence and get the best out of them on every climb, time and time again. So it's well worth a moment or two to check out this Scarpa article on how to avoid Rock Shoe delamination! The main point made is if possible not to leave your climbing shoes in an overly hot place for a prolonged period of time. A hot car can be their worst enemy, having an adverse effect on the glue used to hold the soles firmly in place. If your out and about near the rock face, it's also recommended to find a spot of shade to leave them in when not in use. As the article puts it, "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure". Boulder away and happy climbing!
