Haglofs: Rugged by name, rugged by nature

We had a visit from our Haglofs rep yesterday afternoon, just for an insight into some of the new gear and other bits and bobs that are well worth a push.

We had quite an extended glance at the Haglofs Rugged Mountain Pant. It really is a case of 'rugged by name rugged by nature'. On first touch the Rugged Mountain Pant comes across as nearly bombproof, you can see why a lot of people swear by it. The knees and the seat of the pant have been reinforced for extra durability. The reinforcing fabric thats used also gives added waterproof protection in the places where more force is likely to be applied.

They come with two zippered side pockets, one zippered back pocket and two front pockets, so theres more than enough room to keep smaller items and essentials tucked away. The trousers articulated knees also give an optimum amount of flex for freedom of movement, much needed in mountainous environments. For something as durable and hardwearing as the Rugged, they only weigh 760g. It comes in two colours; Black and Bracken.

If your planning on wearing gaiters the Rugged has another trick up it's sleeve with hooks on the leg cuffs to attach to your chosen footwear, to help seal out any unwanted muck.
