SS14 Sneak Preview #2: The Marmot Men's PreCip Jacket

Following quickly on from our first SS14 Sneak Preview, we thought we'd bring you another teaser to start the week of with! Marmot will be a completely new brand for us arriving in next year, so there's plenty of exciting gear to get through and take a look at!

The Marmot Men's PreCip Jacket uses NanoPro waterproofing technology. It's a technically advanced 2.5 layer coating and offers unprecedented performance as well as high levels of breathability. It's a step up from their previous technology, seeing a 43% increase in breathability! The jacket itself is also 100% seam taped, ensuring all round durable protection. It's been designed as a day to day walking waterproof jacket, ideal for around town, walking the dog or for out on the hills.

The PreCip features an attached adjustable hood that rolls into the collar, giving your protection in a variety of conditions and giving you the option to store it away when the weather's in your favour. Like many good waterproofs on the market these days the PreCip has lined chin guard, to protect your skin from rubbing and chafe. The jackets pit zips allows you to vent if you feel a tad overheated, which again increases the garments versatility of use. It comes with a couple of pockets, handy for keeping smaller items and accessories in and of course your hands if they start to feel a bit chilly.

On the sleeves there's adjustable velcro cuffs, allowing you to cinch them in, reducing cold spots and any unnecessary nippy air rising up. The elastic drawcord hem also ensures you can customize your fit. The PreCip has been given 'Angel Wing Movement' which is intended to allow a full range of motion of the arms without the jacket riding up.

We've got an eclectic selection of colours coming in, including; Cinder/Slate Grey, Black, Atomic Blue/Sapphire, Greenland and Team Red.

The PreCip jacket RRP's at £85 and weighs in at a lightweight 371g.
