Review: Lowe Alpine TFX Kibo 65 Rucksack

We had Steve from Lowe Alpine in at the warehouse a few weeks back, giving us the low down on whats new and whats hot for this Spring/Summer. One of the packs that really stood out to us was the new TFX Kibo 65 Rucksack.

With a clean cut design this 65 litre rucksack packs in an array of features without ever making the pack look overindulged or spoiling it's almost minimalist aesthetics. The standout feature is the Kibo's TFX 4 backsystem. Designed for backpacking and trekking the Kibo needs to have wearer comfort at the forefront of it's design. The TFX 4 back system incorporates a sliding foam panel which can be easily adjusted with it's own adjustment straps, meaning you can get an absolutely perfect fit. The foam panel itself has been constructed to give ample support while still being malleable enough to provide optimum comfort levels.

On to the packs additional specifications, it features bellows side pockets, always an handy extra place to store water bottles and other accessories needed to hand while your out and about. The Kibo also comes with additional lash points, allowing you to attach helmets, axes and walking poles. The pack comes with it's own raincover, just incase the heavens decide to open. We do however realise not everyone's a fan of raincovers when it comes to keeping their gear dry, so we do also stock a good selection of dry bags!

Inside the bag itself there's two separate compartments with a zip out divider so you can get any documents or spare bits of clothing organised. The interior also includes a separate hydration sleeve, so you'll never have to be without refreshment.

Other handy little features the Kibo has includes; SOS panel, key clip (you'll never be locked out of your house again) and mitt friendly zip pulls, always a bonus when it's a bit nippy outside and you don't fancy taking your gloves off! There's also a secure internal lid zipper pocket, an ideal space for storing smaller accessories that you might need to get to quickly.

The Lowe Alpine TFX Kibo 65 Rucksack costs £89.99 and comes in two colours as shown above, a rather vibrant Surf Blue and the classic Black.
