Red Bull Elite Youth Cup 65cc: Round Two!

Time for another Powerband Racing 2012 update! The first round of the Red Bull Motocross Elite Youth Cup 65cc kicked off last month where Team Powerband started off to a flyer, especially rider Tom Grimshaw.

Round two saw the competition head north to the Fat Cat Moto Park in Doncaster. The heats were spread over two days, with Saturday seeing agreeable conditions as opposed to Sunday where the wind and rain overnight really made conditions very difficult. Despite the poor weather Team Powerband performed admirably once again with Christopher Mills finishing top of the pile in the 65cc class and teamate Tom Grimshaw followed close behind in second place.

In the 85cc class Powerband rider George Grigg Petitt only just missed out on 6th place when a collision with a crashed rider caused a few problems, but all things considering his overall 7th place finish was still impressive after some good rides.
