Roscoe Gibson-Denney and the Baffin Island Expedition

A while ago, a young man named Roscoe Gibson-Denney came to us appealing for sponsorship for the Baffin Island 2010 Outreach Expedition. Baffin Island is part of the Auyuittuq National Park in arctic Canada.

Roscoe and the rest of the team is made up from university students & graduates studying a wide variety of subjects - from Geology to Zoology - travelling to 'The Land that Never Melts' in order to research and assess the impact climate change is having on the area's environment. As a result, they are entirely self-funded - OutdoorKit were more than happy to provide them with a generous discount for such a unique and important enterprise.

During their time at Baffin Island, the team has experienced long and tiring mountain ascents, been swept down rivers and inspecting massive glaciers. Their blog, http://baffinisland2010.wordpress.com/, is consistantly updated and is providing us with a thrilling read.

OutdoorKit are proud to sponsor Roscoe and his team, and look forward to a personal update when he returns.
