Sneak Preview #16: The Rab Mountain Dru Jacket

We've already had a gander at the Rab Infinity Jacket that we're expecting to come in for the Autumn/Winter. That's warmth and down sorted. Now it's time to turn our attentions to keeping dry, so with out further ado, here's the Rab Men's Mountain Dru Jacket.
For starters the Mountain Dru uses eVent 3-Layer, which in simple terms consists of tiny little pores that are large enough to help vent perspiration away from the body but which are small enough to keep the rain out. The jacket has been designed with extra abrasion resistant panels around areas of high wear, so you don't have to worry about grinding down the jacket when wearing a rucksack etc.

It features a fully protective helmet compatible wired hood with a roll down velcro tab retainer and volume adjuster. A 2-way YKK front zip with an external and internal storm flap will help keep the rain out come all weathers. If your the kind of person that likes to take all the essentials on your travels with you, maps et al, then two A-line pockets and one napoleon chest pocket will provide amble space to store them.
We all like our jackets to feel like our own, so the Mountain Dru has adjustable velcro cuffs and a hem drawcord to give that personalised fit. It also comes with reflective detailing, for added safety and visibility.

We should be seeing the Mountain Dru rolling into Outdoorkit around mid October. We've got it coming in two colours, Tempest and Black.
