Sneak Preview 5#: The Mountain Hardwear Men's Ghost Whisperer Hooded Down Jacket

Continuing our crusade to bring you the first glimpses of all the gear for Autumn/Winter 2012, we find ourselves hitting the Mountain Hardwear highway today!

The Mountain Hardwear Men's Ghost Whisperer Hooded Down Jacket is completely new for the AW12 season. Part of MH's Alpine Insulated range, the Ghost Whisperer is incredibly lightweight, coming it at a very impressive 212g. This jacket is far from ghoulish, it's been given a generous 850 goose down fill with a stylish, quilted construction to hold the insulation in place.

The outer of the jacket uses Whisperer 7 denier and 10 denier ripstop nylon fabrics for lightweight durability. The jacket features a low profile, insulated hood, giving you extra protection from less desirable weathers without adding an excessive amount of weight to the garment. It's lightweight construction and warm insulation make it an ideal piece for use in alpine environments. The jackets multiple, smaller baffles also ensure you have plenty of flexibility in the arms and body, which again makes it perfect for hitting the slopes, although it's sleek, modern aesthetics means it's just as at home being worn around town.

The Ghost Whisperer also features two hand warmer pockets, providing a toasty place to keep your hands warm. The pockets also provide enough room to store a few additional accessories that you may need while out and about. Illustrating the jackets low profile construction, it can be easily compressed and packed away in it's own pocket, making it simple to store when not in use. A lightweight, single pull hem drawcord also gives the wearer a snug, adjustable fit.

The Mountain Hardwear Men's Ghost Whisperer Hooded Down Jacket will cost around £210 when it comes into us. The jacket comes in four colourful options; Capri, Steam, Black and Radiance (as shown above).
