Sneak Preview #29: The Berghaus Velum Jacket

New for this Autumn/Winter is the Berghaus Velum Jacket. Part of the Berghaus Extrem range, the Velum has been dubbed as one of the most breathable mountaineering jackets around, as well as being very lightweight.

It's been designed primarily for the climbers and alpinists and has been constructed with Gore-Tex's new Active Shell Membrane for ultra breathability. Who better to explain the fabric than Gore-Tex themselves...

"Featuring a lighter weight, streamlined 3 layer construction, this completely new class of waterproof garments delivers extreme breathability and excellent next to skin comfort. Ideal for all weather fast forward athletes seeking durable protection and comfort during highly aerobic, done in a day activities such as trail running, mountain biking, and fast alpine ascent."

The Velum's got two harness friendly handwarmer pockets with YKK water resistant zippers and a 2 way YKK water resistant centre front zip. It's helmet compatible fixed hood ensures it'll be a hit with climbers and mountain lovers. The jacket has a technical fit and features an elasticated and adjustable one handed drawcord closure, plus it comes with bonded adjustable cuff tabs with hook and loop closure.

We've got it coming in in two colours; Blaze Red/Carbon and Intense Blue/Blaze Red (as shown below).
