Review: The Merrell Trail Glove Trainer

The weather this week so far has been absolutely glorious, just a shame we can't all take our computers out of the office and bask in the sunshine!

This kind of weather is perfect for an after work run, leave it till around 6-30ish when the conditions are still warm but with a cool feel to the air, lovely!

For this reason I thought it was the ideal time to do a Merrell Barefoot Trainer Review. I've been wearing them around the office this morning, getting a feel for them and the barefoot technique. If your not entirely sure about the benefits of barefooting, please do check out Merrell's Barefoot website, it explains everything in detail and has some helpful videos to guide you. To be honest though, it really is quite simple to pick up!

(The Merrell Trail Glove's)

The trainer I've been sporting this morning is the Merrell Trail Glove in the stonkingly regal Olympia colour.

It does take a while to get used to the way you walk/run in them, it shy's away from the heel toe action we're all so used to and encourages a more flat running stance, which should help lessen impact injuries. The whole concept of Barefoot is to go back to a more 'natural' running style, which first of all makes you feel more at one with your surroundings but also does help take the strain off your leg muscles.

(Please excuse the socks!)

There's also a Merrell Barefoot App to help you along the way! We've currently got four styles of Merrell Barefoot Trainers in stock; The Men's True Glove and Trail Glove, and the Women's Pace Glove and Pure Glove.

Happy Barefooting!
