Review: The Salomon Light Amphib 3 Sandal

Another footwear review for you this morning and it's certainly something a little bit different.

Now you might have seen The North Face Hedgefrog Trainer. Now we can bring you the Salomon Light Amphib 3 Sandal. As far as we can see they're both pretty similar, the aim being to bridge the divide between a normal trainer and a sandal. And they certainly do that.

The Light Amphib 3 packs everything into it's lightweight makeup to give you everything you'd need in a trainer and a sandal, it's a 2-in-1 essentially! There's not many sandals you could imagine running in, but the Amphib allows the possibility. The sole has been given some fairly deep lugs, without adding sillly amounts of extra bulk. So if you fancy running through a river, the Light Amphib is the sandal to do it in!

There's plenty of breathability to be had in the Amphib too. It features mesh panelling in all the areas where ventilation is most needed. The sandal also has a collaspisble heel which certainly helps with it's versatility, not too mention making packing easier! All this comes together to weight only 408g. So if it's a casual walk your looking for or something a tad quicker the Light Amphib 3 Sandal is most definitely worth checking out.

While we're on the subject of trainers come sandals, Salomon also have the Epic Cabrio Shoe. another almost 'hybrid' design that's ideal for casual summer hiking.
