AW13 Sneak Preview #4: Lowe Alpine Men's Explorer Fleece & Cedar Ridge Jacket

A new dawn, a new week and another Sneak Preview! You might remember we did a little preview of a couple of new Lowe Alpine daypacks coming into us next season. Well now it's the turn of their clothing to take the spotlight and we're rather psyched to see the re-emergence of their apparel range!

First up we're going to have a gander at the Lowe Alpine Men's Explorer Fleece Jacket. The jacket uses 100% Polyester, Aleutian fleece, giving it a stylish and textured look, not to mention equipping it with a good level of insulation. The Explorer has a soft bound collar and chin guard which is tricot lined for extra comfort and warmth.

Moving downwards the jacket has a YKK centre front zip and two YKK hand pockets, ideal for storing away tasty trail treats, accessories and of course your hands if the weather happens to be a tad nippy out. The fleece has a soft, folded hem and cuffs which again elevates the overall comfort of the jacket.

We've got the Men's Explorer Fleece coming in two colours; Ink and Anthracite. It'll cost around £70 and weighs in at 530g.

Second up, we have the Lowe Alpine Men's Cedar Ridge Jacket. This 2-Layer trekking waterproof jacket uses a Triplepoint Ceramic waterproofing fabric, ensuring windproof and breathable protection. The jacket has styled contrast ripstop areas, providing extra durability in the places you need it most. It features a fixed storm hood with wired peak and size adjustment, so you might be able to fit a helmet under there as well. (barring any abnormal head sizing). The collar also has a tricot lining, adding a bit of comfort and reducing any annoying chafe against your chin and neck. Because let's face it, the last thing you want when your swishing your head from side to side taking in the landscape before you, is an irritated red chin.

The Cedar Ridge comes with a double storm flap at the main zip, rain funnel to help disperse any water and snap fastenings. You also get 2 YKK zip handwarmer pockets, a taffeta lined inner and adjustable hem with drawcord.

We currently have the Cedar Ridge due in two colours; Mallard Ink and Anthracite/Black. It's going to cost just over £140 and weighs in at 600g, so not weighty at all.
