SS13 Sneak Preview #1: Keen Men's Turia & Women's Venice H2 Sandals

We've all had our fair share of mince pies, pulled a few crackers and joined hands singing Auld Lang Syne to see us into the new year, all while consuming many other scrummy festive foods and drink. So that's Christmas all over and done with and in a couple of short months it'll be time to welcome in the Spring/Summer 2013 season. Like at the beginning of every new season, we want to bring you some of the first glimpses of all the shiny new gear we're expecting in and for SS13 we're making no exceptions!

Let's kick things off with a new brand for us coming into Spring/Summer 2013, we're delighted to announce we'll be stocking Keen Footwear! Keen operate using three main philosophy's; Create, Play, Care. They're dedicated to creating the best footwear to allow you to explore the outdoors in any which way you want, whether it be for work or play. Keen also ensure that they take a duty of care in everything they do, from constructing their own shoes, to supporting non profit organizations, being at the forefront of pioneering programmes to help communities who need it most.

It may still be a tad nippy and gloomy outside at the moment, but ever the optimists, we're going to take a look at two sandals for our first SS13 Sneak Preview.

First up we have the Keen Men's Turia Sandal. The Turia is a lightweight adventure sandal with the heart of a hiker. It's just as comfortable out in the streams as it is up in the hills. Made with a supportive synthetic and airmesh offer, the Turia offers good breathability, always a bonus when participating in higher octane outdoor pursuits. It's safe and secure fit lace capture system along with the Keen active heel lock design ensures a slick fit around your foot, enabling you to step with assurance.

Moving into the engine room of the Turia, it features a Metatomical EVA footbed with Aegis Microbe Shield for excellent shock absorbency antimicrobial technology respectively. There's also a dual density compression molded EVA midsole with an ESS stability shank. Coming to us from the Keen 'Waterfront' range, the Turia is more than happy in wetter terrains. It's water traction rubber compound sole with razor siping makes sure it doesn't wet out when you've done playing in the water, making the transition from wet to dry land a doddle.

The Keen Men's Turia Sandal's retail at £80 and we've got two colours arriving in; Midnight Navy/Pompeian Red & Midnight Navy/Gargoyle.

Second up on the sandal front is the Keen Women's Venice H2 Sandal. The Venice is a popular lightweight number, with plenty of ruggedness built in if you choose to venture out into rougher terrains. It's been made with a washable polyester webbing upper for optimum wicking and comfort. Like the Men's Turia the fit is excellent, including Keen's lace capture system. Incorporated into the lining is an Aegis Microbe Shield Hydrophobic treatment, helping to reduce and stop the build up of bacteria and ultimately any unwanted smells. The inner workings of the Venice H2 include a Metatomical EVA molded footbed and compression molded EVA midsole.

Again like the Men's Turia, the Women's Venice loves the water, it features a multi-directional lug pattern and razor siping for maximum traction when hopping out into slippier surfaces. The Keen Women's Venice H2 Sandal retails at £80. We've got an eclectic range of colours arriving in, including; Vivid Blue/Neutral Gray, Barberry/Neutral Gray, Bougainvillea/Neutral Gray and Greenbriar/Neutral Gray.
