Red Bull Elite Youth Cup 65cc: Final Round!

We've been following the progress of Powerband Racing 2012 in the Red Bull Pro Nationals Elite Youth Cup and especially Tom Grimshaw our MD's nephew and his teammate Christopher Mills. There's only a couple of weeks to go until the final round at Culham Park and both riders are neck and neck at the top of the tables, Christopher occupying pole position with Tom following closely behind. Christopher currently has a 43 point lead, but with 45 points on offer for a win, his lead is by no means unassailable, giving Tom a chance to overtake his teammate.

Although both riders have their eyes set firmly on winning the championship, Tom and Christopher are good friends off the track, with a healthy rivalry on it. "We get on really well off the track and practiced together a lot through the winter which helped us both", says Christoper, with Tom adding, "I get on really well with Christopher and he is a good friend, we both knew we would be fighting close to each other this year".

The final round should prove to be very interesting to see whether Christopher can hold on to top spot with Tom breathing down his neck, we'll bring you an update of the last round of the championship at the end of the month!
