Sneak preview #1: The North Face Massif Jacket and Vest

I was recently lucky enough to be able to peruse The North Face's options for Autumn/Winter 2010. Among them is this gem of a garment, the Massif Jacket;


Basically it's a twist on the ever-popular Nuptse Jacket. Engineered for a more streamlined fit, the Massif boasts new, smoother baffle construction to enhance insulation distribution - i.e., the down will be more evenly spread, and less bulky than the Nuptse Jacket.

Don't panic, though - the Nuptse Jacket will be back next year as well, and the Vest. The Massif Vest is also a gorgeous piece, however - as you can see by my (albeit poorly taken) photograph below;


The Massif will be retailled at the same price as the Nuptse, leaving you spoilt for choice this time next year!
