Peruvian Trek for MacMillan Cancer Support

We always like to get ourselves behind a good cause here at Outdoorkit and Bernie Webbe's is no exception. Bernie was diagnosed twice, first in 2007 and again in 2010 with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma, a very rare form of cancer that only effects 35 out of every 10 million people. But Bernie's not one to let it get on top of her and is planning a 10 day trek up to the Peruvian Mountains to raise awareness for the condition and to help raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support.

She has already undergone chemotherapy, radiotherapy and major facial surgery, which has resulted in permanent facial disfigurement.

You can visit her Just Giving page to donate and lend you support. We've all been effected by cancer in one way or another and know how vital organisations like MacMillan and others are to people's treatment and rehabilitation, so get yourself behind it and lend Bernie your support!
