Sneak Preview #19: Jack Wolfskin Women's 5th Avenue and Wave Hill Insulated Jackets

Time for another Autumn/Winter Sneak Peak for Jack Wolfskin methinks. In the last one things were very much focused on 3-in-1's, so let's have a little snoop around their insulated range shall we?

The Women's 5th Avenue Coat looks like it's going to be the key piece in Jack Wolfskins armoury this Autumn/Winter. It's a fashionable piece with bundles of warmth to keep you snug and warm when the colder weathers approach. The 5th Avenue uses Wolfskins Texapore Twillsuede 2L outer fabric which equips the coat with all round weather protection and breathability. This fabric was developed with a more urban user in mind and has a smoother surface compared to other shell fabrics. So that's rain and wind protection sorted, but will it keep you warm?

In short, the answer to that question is yes. The 5th Avenue has a synthetic polyfibre fill and a Nanuk 300 Highloft lining, so not only will it keep you warm, it'll be incredibly comfortable inside it too. The coat itself comes with all the essentials; hip pockets, secret pocket, hood and articulated elbows.

We've got the 5th Avenue coming in two colours, Dark Berry and Black.

Stepping up next is the Women's Wave Hill Down Parka. Like the 5th Avenue, you get weather protection and warmth all in one. The Wave Hill uses standard Texapore but with Function 65 organic, this combination provides a 2-layer laminate that's waterproof, breathable and highly robust. The Parka uses an 80/20 Duck Down filling to keep you snug and has a Nanuk 200 Silkloft lining for extra warmth and plenty of comfortable inside the garment itself.

Again the Wave Hill comes with everything you'd need in a Winter jacket; 2 raised hip pockets, 2 hip pockets, an inner pocket, internal fleece cuffs, ultra light hood and articulated elbows for excellent freedom of movement.

We're getting two colours of the Wave Hill in, Dark Berry and Grey Heather.
