Review: Lowa Khumbu TC GTX Boot

It's Lowa time (or 'Lova' if we're going for the German pronunciation). Still not 100% sure which ones correct at the moment!
It's time for the Khumbu TC GTX to be reviewed, whether it likes it or not...

The Khumbu is one of the lightest in the Lowa trekking range and I can certainly vouch for that! One thing that does come across straight away is the rugged, yet stylish approach Lowa have gone for with this boot. Because of this it's pretty ideal for most activities across the spectrum, from general walking to military use. The Gore-Tex lining gives an excellent shield from wet and damp conditions and the heel and toe guards give optimum protection when trying to tackle more challenging terrains.

Lowa's 'X-Lacing' system allows you to custom tie for your own personal comfort, always a nice touch. They also feature a shock absorbing PU midsole for even more wearer comfort. Another standout spec is the padded mesh rim of the boot and the tongue, not only giving extra comfort but also aiding breathability and ventilation if you decide to pick up the pace.

It's not just all about the Khumbu though, we've got the Stirling GTX, Renegade GTX and the Kody GTX.
